It's been more than 10 years since five year old Lelaina Hall died after being trapped in the mud at Berrow Beach, Somerset in 2002. mudflat_danger People, especially kids, ignore the posted warnings to play in the mud. mudflat_rescue Emergency crews had already been called out several times to rescue people stuck in the mud. But like the others, this young boy ran out to enjoy the mudflats exposed during low tide at Weston-super-Mare in Somerset to the consternation of his mother. mudboy3 All of the stuck children were located and rescued that day, although one seven year old boy had to be checked out by an ambulance crew. Roger Fry, who lives in the area, was attending Weston Air Day when he snapped these photos. mudboy2 He said, "I was on the beach watching the planes when I heard this great ruckus. I looked round and saw this mother screaming at a kid." "I told you not to go down there, you're filthy" and so on. "Everyone stopped and looked around before the mother stormed off with some other children towards the car park. The muddy kid just followed on a little later." mudboy1 The unidentified young boy was berated by his mother, and was seen bursting into tears as the furious woman wagged her finger in front of his face. "Everyone stopped and looked around before the mother stormed off with some other children towards the car park. The muddy kid just followed on a little later." reported Fry.

"I want to play cricket on the green,

Ride my bike across the street,

Cut myself and see my blood,

I want to come home all covered in mud."

The Flying Game

by on Jul.12, 2011, under Culture, Family, Kids, War and Terrorism

After a number of high profile incidents where TSA agents have been accused of performing needlessly intrusive body searches of children, the agency announced that unnecessary pat-downs of children would be avoided in the future.

TSA agent checks 3 year old boy's penis for weapons

The announcement came after public outrage after a 6-year-old girl in New Orleans was subjected to a heavy-handed body search last month. Contrary to early reports, this young boy wasn't stripped searched by the TSA. His father removed his shirt to expedite the process when the boy, singled out for a body search, was intimidated by all the officers watching him being groped. The same day that the TSA announced the end of unnecessary invasive body searches of children, a 6 year old boy, on his way to Disneyland with his family, was intrusively searched TWICE. The Long family, from Kirkland, Washington, departed from the Sea Tac airport. "They just treated him like he's a terrorist- he's a six year old boy," his distressed father Alex Long told King5 News. The young boy and his brother were on a surprise trip to Disneyland when the TSA subjected him to two invasive pat-downs after he set off detector. The officals also carefully examined his video-game even though it had been on the belt, and not his body which had beeped. "Immediately after this happened I hugged my son and he started crying and saying 'I don't want to go to Disneyland," his mother Jenine Michaelis said. "We all talk to our kids about improper touching - somebody shouldn't touch you unless you want to be touched," Ms Michaelis said. "We didn't have any time to talk to him about what they were really doing." The TSA has threatened to respond.

Rectum? Shoulda’ Killed Him

by on Jun.05, 2010, under Crime, Drugs

Police officers in Wenatchee, Washington were astounded at the amount of contraband smuggled in by one asshole, who carried the illicit items in his rectum.  The stash included a green cigarette lighter, cigarette rolling papers, a golf-ball size baggie of tobacco, a bottle of tattoo ink, eight tattoo needles, a one-inch-long smoking pipe and a small baggie of suspected marijuana, said Sgt. John Kruse, a Wenatchee Police Department spokesman.

Was he really going to smoke that pipe?

How did Gavin Stanger fit all this up his butt?

“We were all wondering, ‘How do you put all that up there?’ ” Kruse said. “The tobacco was pretty impressive; it was a good ounce.” The inmate, Gavin Stanger, 24, from East Wenatchee, had arranged to serve his sentence of three days on a disorderly conduct charge.  It's presumed that he packed for the stay, and doesn't normally carry all of those items in his rectum. No contraband was discovered in a pat-down search or subsequent strip search, but a search of Stanger's holding cell revealed a plastic bag and duct tape floating in the cell’s toilet.  He will be charged with introduction of contraband into the jail.
