Appetite For Destruction

by on May.09, 2015, under Animals, Family, Health, Nature

Benno is a Belgian Malinois with a healthy appetite. In his four years, he's eaten a lot of strange objects, from underwear and and blankets to electronics and a gasoline-soaked lawn mower air filter. bruno02 Owner Larry Brassfield had been repackaging ammunition the night before when he woke up early to his wife telling him that the dog had thrown up. She said there was ammo in the vomit. X-rays showed that the dog had some improperly loaded rounds in his stomach. benno_xray They weren't able to tell exactly how many there were, but they could distinguish 17 or 18. Benno would definitely not have been legal in the state of California, where you can't have more than ten rounds in your dog at a time. benno_rounds02 Ultimtely they removed 23 rounds from his stomach. benno_xray02 Another x-ray showed two remaining cartridges in his esophagus, but vets decided to wait and allow them time to chamber instead of performing another surgery right away. bruno01 Five days later, one of the rounds was ejected, and 3 days after that, he shot out the final round. benno_chewed Benno is expected to fully recover and has already regained his appetite for destruction. benno_02

"My head kinda hurts right now, but I'm OK with it," the boy said as he sat on a bench outside Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. leo3 Leo's mother said that Leo is afraid to go home. Larger Than Life

Even as a young boy, Ethan (not his real name)wasn't confident around girls. shy01As he grew older, his shyness around girls never diminished. shy02 At the age of 17, he became tired of his handicap. Unable to play any competitive sports, have sex or even wear pants without difficulty, it became time to face his problem. The teen decided to have his penis reduced. The 17-year-old's flaccid instrument measured seven inches in length but had a circumference of 10 inches - which is about the size of a grapefruit. Before the life-changing operation, surgeons said it was shaped like a "rugby ball" and restricted his ability to play sports or have sex. Danny Care • Rugby Union Player - thealbamale.blogspot The teen told doctors he would spontaneously get erections because the shape of it restricted the natural blood flow. Rafael Carrion, a urologist at the University of South Florida took on the challenge. Surgeons developed a new technique normally used to cut scar tissue from the penis by slicing alongside an old circumcision scar and cut out two segments of tissue from either side. Dr Carrion said, "It was a bit like having two side tummy-tucks - that's how we explained it to him." shy03 In the end it was complete success and the teen is ecstatic with the results. Dr Carrion reported, "It looks cosmetically appealing, and he said it was a life-changing event, he's all smiles." rhino3

Snake Preview

by on Jan.25, 2015, under Animals, Environment, Health, Nature

We can understand why some people have a fear of snakes. They're stealthy, favor small dark places, and may live in close proximity to you for years before you realize they're there. snake_toilet No matter how conscientious you are, you still have to sleep sometime. snake_sleep Some people don't find them scary at all. snake_girl2 If you provide the proper environment, snakes are easy to maintain. They rarely aggravate allergies and they don't take up much space, making them good apartment pets. snake_pet3 The bond between a boy and his snake can last for years. snake_girl3 But fears aren't unfounded. Unlike these house pets, a snake in the wild could be dangerous snake_fangs1 The fangs may not look as sharp as cat or puppy teeth, but the venom can be potent. snake_bite2 It travels from the point of origin and spreads through the body rapidly. Even the notorious Black Mambo takes 20 minutes (in extreme cases) to 8 hours to kill. snake_bitefoot2 Other species give their victims an opportunity to experience the agony for much longer. snake_bitefoot Often the venom contains chemicals that paralyze the nerves and cause the blood to clot. If not treated quickly, it spreads and muscle tissue begins to die. snake_bite3 This 13 year old girl from Caracas, Venezuela was bitten a month before she was brought to a hospital. The leg will be amputated to keep the necrosis from spreading but they believe that effects of the necrosis, rhabdomyolysis which causes the muscle tissue to die, and Rhabdomyolysis, which leads to kidney failure, are already irreversible. snake_bitedog If your dog can't read, warn him about the dangers of snakes. dog_snake2 If you encounter an unidentified creature in the wild, if it doesn't have fur and four legs, it's probably a dangerous spider and you should leave the vicinity as fast as possible.
